LeVar Burton (born February 16, 1957) is an American actor and director. He's known for his portrayals of Kunta Kinte in Roots, Geordi La Forge from Star Trek: The Next Generation, and for hosting Reading Rainbow for a number of years. In the world of voice acting he has the done the voices for Kwame in Captain Planet and the Planeteers, War Machine on Marvel: Super Hero Squad and Black Lightning in Superman/Batman: Public Enemies.
